The Dance

Laughing, she danced across the moonlit bridge,
dancing to the song of the river below,
dancing to the waving grasses of the glen,
dancing to the sweet heather of the hill,
dancing to the willow along the bank of the burn,
dancing to the mountain ash,
dancing to the marsh,
dancing to the meadow,
dancing to the musk of the vaginal earth,
dancing to the stars glimmering high up above,
dancing to the moonlight embracing the night,
Laughing, she danced on till dawn.
