.: Notes from The Scratching Post :. The Diary of Mickey The Cat November 29, 2001 My owner is so wonderful because well, simply because I did such a purr-fect job of training her! When I first came to live here eighteen months ago, I had to really take the time to train her. She's gotten accustomed now to making sure my box is cleaned out every day and making sure there is food in my bowl every morning before she leaves for work. She knows when I want to be scratched, brushed and held. She even knows when I want to be left alone to catch my 40 winks. Still, we have struggles with my commands for her to open the door when I want to go outside. Today was a particularly frustrating day because she just would not respond to my meows and there was a squirrel in the back yard teasing and taunting me! I wanted out! I tried so many meows and so many looks to make her open that door. Usually my bold stare and clipped meowing does the trick and she takes notice of what I want or need. Not today though. I simply could not get her to open those doors! I was so worried that the squirrel was going to run away before I could get out there. I have tried every which way by using all of the different meows in my vocabulary to give her this command, but she simply kept ignoring me! Except for this one fault that frustrates me from time to time, my owner is otherwise very well behaved and knows her place because she knows that I am the head of this household! Most of all...She loves me. - I love that she loves me! She's my owner and I quess I'll keep her. (((purr))) >^..^<
