"Ah, a new topic determined"

Here I am late at night - or should I say early in the morning - and I've just completed the update of the Poetica Collab which included moving files, adding the new topic and sending out the newsletter to the Notify List.

The new topic is for folks to write a "Narrative" poem that is an expression of an undelivered communication. I've spent time researching the style of Narrative poetry on the internet and my reference books at home. I'll really be interested to see the final results of what folks create with that topic.

Every month I read each poem submitted to the collab and I must admit that when I came across this entry of Ophelia Let Go this month, I was inspired to use Narrative Poetry as the format for September. I only had to come up with a topic around it.

Through a conversation I had with Margie at work, I realized that there are so many things that people don't tell each other or that folks sometimes don't listen. Margie told me about her Mother who passed away in July - but that she never got to resolve an old grudge with her and tell her that she loved her.

Then I had another conversation with Eldon who told me that he's so mad at his Dad right now that he won't even talk to him or tell him what's on his mind.

From those conversations I've had this month and because I've seen similar situations in some diary entries I've visited, I decided to create the topic of Undelivered Communication for the Poetica Collab to go along with the Narrative format.

Least of all, folks should feel free to use this format as a means of expressing something personal to them.

Now I just have to think about what I will write for my project of the collab.

I think I know what I'm going to write, I just need to work on it.
