"cousin Sherry, has she changed?"

I dreamt last night of my cousin Sherry.

In the dream - we were just talking yet I cannot remember what we said.

I kissed her after because I missed her.

When I looked up I saw someone else.

It was her. 40, fat and frumpy.

I wondered what happened so quickly to her.

Yet when she was leaving I pleaded with her to stay because she was after all, still Sherry.

Today I've added another poem to my August Entry for the Poetica Collab. I couldn't resist. I had to write another poem based on that photo. Stephen, the happy donut, is an excellent photographer and truly wonderful writer. I could see him authoring a book incorporating both his writing and his photography.
