"a new layout for me"

If you've come to my page and noticed that it doesn't look the same...you're not going crazy - I finally changed the layout again after threatening to do it for so long.

I really needed to have a layout that was quicker and cleaner. So for now, I'm using this layout. I got rid of the rollovers and the graphics that surrounded the page. Now there are only three images on this page. The title image is quite heavy and takes the longest to load because it also is an image map. I tried optimizing it but the dithering looked like crap - so I've left it heavy for now.

I'm quite pleased with the design of this layout because I love the combination of colors and the clean look and crispness of it, but the image in the corner makes me look like a corpse! I may change that out later as well, but it'll have to do for now.

And....it's not purple! Well, it does have some purple in it at least and that's a good thing.

Another item I've added is a search engine for my diary. I did this mostly because I was going crazy trying to search through all my entries to find something I wrote and not remembering which page it was on. Since my entries go back to 1999, it nearly drove me crazy.

I've added the search feature and anyone can use it. It was easy to set up and add, plus it's free so I'm tickled about it.

I also spent time working on my Pieces Collaboration for July. I had to create an image from this one:

I haven't added the completed image to my collab page yet, but I'm going to post it here because I need my sister to take a look at it. I used her drawing of an angel for the image I made and I'd like to get her okay before I submit it to the collab.

Once I talk with my sister about it, I'll load it on up.

Tomorrow I must work on Get-it and add some links and tutorials and such that folks have sent me.

So, for now. I'm going to log off, grab a beer and finish reading "Invisible Monsters" by Chuck Palahniuk.
