"poems on the 4th"

Well the 4th is over. Hope everyone had a happy 4th of July - even those who are not from the U.S.

Heck - I hope all your days are happy, where ever you are!

I didn't do much for the 4th. Simply spent it with my Mom and a friend. We ate and watched some television. Then we got started reciting poetry to each other and after awhile we dug out all my poetry books and started reading poetry from them. It was nice to revisit those poems I love and to experience new ones.

I fell in love once again with Ginsberg's "Wales Visitation". The poem is absolutely beautiful and so very earthy and sensual. It may also be one of those -you had to be there- poems, because it reminded me so much of Wales and how much I enjoyed it there. Perhaps not. Perhaps even if one had never been to Wales, one may still come to love the poem.

Well, that was about my day such as it was.
